Milpitas Adult Education

General Information

  • To empower adult students to strengthen self-esteem, grow in social responsibilities, expand occupational skills, achieve academic success, and pursue personal interests so that they may actively enhance and enrich their lives.

  • Our classes are open to:

    • Any resident or non-resident who is at least 18 years old.
  • Students may pre-register for classes by:

    • Online registration link.
    • Filling out a registration form in the office.
    • For fee-based programs, payment may be made by cash, check, money order, VISA or MasterCard.  Make checks or money orders payable to MUSD.

Only participants who have registered and paid will be allowed to attend. No auditing allowed.

  • Because teachers' salaries are paid by the fees collected, we must limit our refund/transfer policy. Refunds will only be given if requested 15 days before the first class. Refunds will be given for classes by MAE. No refunds on books.

  • Our community interest classes are not tax supported. We price our classes affordably, so we cover costs for teachers' salaries, teaching materials and classroom facilities. These classes must be self-supporting. If we do not have enough students in a class, we will offer students the following options: 1) Pay a slightly higher class fee or 2) have fewer hours of instruction for the same fee. If necessary, a class may be canceled. We do not like to cancel a class, so register NOW! Certain classes may require an additional fee for supplies, books, or equipment.
